Invisalign has become one of the more popular orthodontic services along with braces. It differs from metal braces because Invisalign uses clear aligners that change every two weeks to shift your teeth. In this article, we are going to cover some important tips that you should know before you start Invisalign.

The first important tip is that you should be wearing your aligners all day unless you are eating. This is important because you need to give your teeth enough time to shift into the right position.

Your orthodontist will be giving you new aligners and if you didn’t wear the previous ones, you will not be able to continue with the treatment.

Another tip that we are going to talk about has to do with cleaning your aligners. Cleaning the aligners is just as important as brushing your teeth. The same bacteria will build up in the aligners and they can be cleaned with a toothbrush and toothpaste. It’s best to get in the habit of cleaning them before bed.

The American Association of Orthodontics recommends you take your child to see an orthodontist by the time they are 7 years old. There are a lot of different treatment options available. If your kid needs braces, consider Invisalign.
